Okay so I actually had my surgery a week earlier than I had posted. They had overbooked my surgery day and then they had a cancellation and since the doctor didn't want me going four more weeks out they moved into the cancellation appointment, which was January 20th. Anyways I went into surgery very worried. I'll be honest I've learned that I'm a very vein person and so of course that was my biggest worry, what I would end up looking like. Well the dermatologist did an AMAZING job. And best of all they got it all!!! So until further notice I am skin cancer free!!!!!!
Also, and not to be getting on a soap box, but please remember to wear sunscreen at least a 15 SPF (applied every hour). And wearing sunglasses and hat helps prevent Basal Cell Carcinoma on your face. As for tanning beds...DO NOT USE THEM. They increase your chance of skin cancer by 75% if you start tanning before the age of 18. I know its nice to have color in the winter, but is it really worth your life? I used to say I didn't care as long as I was tan doing it, well now, after going thru this and now having two children to worry about I regret 100% of ever stepping into a tanning. I am not saying stop getting a suntan, I'm saying get it from the natural sun and with the use of a sunscreen.
Immediately after.
Three days after.
Stitches out and better daily.

Hi Nikki. I am so sorry for all that you've had to go through. What a praise that it is gone and surgery went well! I'll be praying for you and you definitely convicted me about my vain use of tanning. Thank you for sharing your story!
I'm so happy for you that you're pleased with the results. You're an amazing woman for being outspoken about it.
Katie
