....cry if I want to!! I know you were totally singing that verse right then weren't you? Anyways okay well Mother's Day weekend we celebrated Eli's first birthday. We delayed the celebration a week so all of his grandparents and his Aunt Jamie could be there. We had a blast. And as everyone told me would happen, I pulled the second child syndrome on Eli. You see, with Isaac's first birthday I went all out on invitations, decorations, food, and so on. I honestly started planning his party two months ahead of time. Well poor Eli didn't get that special treatment. I decided with him that I wanted it to be a simple celebration with just family and close friends. I didn't even send out invitations, just a simple text to our closest that we wanted there. Sad I know, but I must say it was SO much more enjoyable. We had it at our favorite park, the Duck Park. It's a place that Isaac and I enjoyed a ton way before Eli was ever thought about, but now Eli has come to LOVE this little park as much as we do. I only did cake and drinks, and well it was a blast. I think all the kids enjoyed it and so did all the adults. Eli had fun making friends and trying to do everything his brother was doing. Everything was precious. It came cake time and I was so excited to see how Eli would react to it. Isaac had a blast with it so I was for sure that Eli would, especially since the child seriously will eat anything as long as it doesn't eat him first. Well boy was I wrong. The poor child didn't want anything to do with his cake. I did get a great shot with some red icing on his face, but that was only after his nanny shoved his hand into the cake and then he started crying and rubbed his left eye. And then that made him even more upset. So with all that said, there was no amazing video of my monkey enjoying his cake. Sorry for those of you that were expecting it. But we had a blast anyways. And thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the celebration with us, and thank you to all of you who sent gifts and celebrated with us from afar.
