Yesterday was Isaac's third birthday. I can hardly believe that he is already three. To me it was just last week that he was born. He has really grown into a special young man and it has been so fun watching him grow into his own person. But even though he is growing up I can still look at him and see the baby that I held 3 hours after he was born, he still smells the same and looks at me the same. I love him and feel blessed and honored for God to have chosen me to be Isaac's mother. Sure there are days that we really frustrate each other, but no matter what I love him. Happy Birthday buddy I love and am very proud of you.
This is for you to come and see what is happening in our lives. We hope the moments/stories that we post here put a smile on your face.

Where has the Time Gone

Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Party
So Isaac is turning three this week and we decided to really do his birthday up this year since he actually knows what it is. Well for any of you that don't know, Isaac LOVES Chuck E. Cheese's. Are first time ever going was last December for his best friend Christopher's birthday party. At the time I wasn't sure who loved it more, Isaac or Barry. Well after that day we decided to go back the very next week to enjoy it without a large crowd. We went and all three of us had a blast. So from that moment on we went at least once a month if not more. I even joined the Chuck E. Cheese Club so we'd get coupons and free tokens. I guess back right after Eli was born I started planning Isaac's party. I'm a planner and like to have list and plans set up way ahead of time. Well why sitting at good ole Chuck E. Cheese I decided we needed to have his party there. I figured it was a great year to do it. He would actually know it was his birthday and he didn't have too many friends so we'd be able to keep the cost down. I grabbed a pamphlet and started planning. The price was reasonable, especially since all I would have to do is show up and then leave. I told family about my plans and then in August I reserved the date and time. Well I guess I wasn't thinking because I set it for a Saturday at 4 pm. If you've never been there on that day at that time I advise you not to do it. Yes I knew it would be crowded, but I never imagined it to be like it was. I got there early and walked thru the doors and my honest thought was "what the h$#% was I think?!" I went to our table and put the cake and gifts down and waited for our crew to arrive. They all get there and have the same expression I did. We sit and watch Isaac have a blast. And then it happens...Chuck E. Cheese comes out!! And at that very moment Isaac's face made me cry and completely forget the craziness that was around me. Sure that only lasted a moment, but that one moment will stay in my mind forever. He opened gifts, we loaded the cars and left that crazy place. I had notice Isaac acting a little funny towards the end. I had been sick and was praying it was not that, but he wouldn't say what was wrong. Later that evening while sitting in the middle of our living room I asked him if he had fun. He looked at me with his marble blue eyes and said, "I weally wike Chuck E. Cheese, but I not wike those people." I agreed and promised him we'd never go at that time or day again. It honestly took all of us a full day to overcome the anxiety that place caused us that late afternoon.

God Knew What He Was Doing
Okay so when I found out I was having another boy I cried for a few days. Well I actually went into mourning. I REALLY wanted a girl. Looking back it isn't that I wanted a girl I've decided I wanted something different than the other two boys that live at my house. I wanted quiet, sweet, and calmness from a child. Well God gave me just that with Eli and I would not change him for the world, not even for a little girl. He turns six months next week and I can't believe it. I could just eat him up all day long. Thank you God for my peace child and blessing.
Gone Camping
So a couple of weeks ago Barry took a group of the youth backpacking and Isaac really wanted to go, but obviously he couldn't. Well Barry got back and all Isaac could talk about was camping with daddy. So one night my mom and I decided to build a tent for Isaac and daddy to sleep in. Isaac giggled and the whole time we were setting up the camp site. He even found his flash light to keep with him because he said it was dark out there. Here's the pictures. Oh one more added note. Isaac ended up sleeping until 9 AM the morning. If I would've known he'd sleep that late I would've been doing it every night. But since figuring it out I know what I need to do to sleep in. Build tents and put my children in them...hehe.
How can it be?
Time Out
Just picture this if you can...
Barry is always picking at me and the other day he was doing it again. I got frustrated and this is how it went down...
Barry: You going to shower today babe? (I'd been VERY sick this past week and one day I didn't shower and the rest of the week he picked at me about it)
Me: Shut-up babe!!!
Isaac: (He is watching Sesame Street, but obviously still listening) OH!!!! Mommy you just said sut-up!!!! We not say that word.
Me: Oops, sorry buddy....Dabby be quiet!!! And nice!!!!
Isaac: Mommy you need to go to time-out for saying sut-up....and daddy you be nice to my mommy. Go time-out mommy!
Me: Can I go all day?!!!!
Isn't it just wonderful having a three year old to hold you accountable? I think everyone needs one.

South Carolina State Fair
We finally went! That is right, we have lived in SC for almost 7 years now and we've only been to the State Fair once for almost two hours. Every year it comes and we think yeah we'll go and then we decide the crowd is just too much. Then we had Isaac and thought he'd love it...one day....we'll go next year. So that "next year" eventually arrived this year. So we made plans to go Sunday. I woke up Sunday and didn't feel too hot and had decided Barry would take Isaac without me. But Isaac got SO excited to go that I changed my mind and went. And I'm so glad I did. Check out the pictures and you'll see why too.

It's Back
Okay as many of you know I LOVE making cards or just being creative overall. Well I haven't gotten to do it for a very LONG while, like over year. When I got pregnant with Eli I was really sick and just wasn't into it. Then towards the end of the pregnancy I had to take all my crafting/stamping stuff down so we could finish Eli's room. Well last week I finally got to pull out my card making stuff and make a card I was so EXCITED. Any ways since pulling the stuff out I've made three cards, one of which I was very impressed, hence the picture below. So with all this said, I'm SO EXCITED to be getting my creativity mode back. The card is nothing spectacular, but it just makes me happy to be doing the card making again and also getting to see it.
Our Little Eli
****UPDATE**** I forgot to mention that Eli got his first TWO teeth in over the weekend!!!! It is his front bottom teeth.
Eli will be 5 months old tomorrow. That is so crazy to me. He is growing up too fast. He is rolling over like crazy and he thinks his big brother hung the moon for him. Here are a few pictures of him that I've caught the past few weeks.
He is so good that I keep thinking oneday he is going to wake up and be a wild child. But it hasn't happened yet. I guess God knew what he was doing when he gave us Eli. God knows that one family can only handle one Isaac Russell.

Bumble-Bee the Transformer

Isaac is now at the age where Halloween is fun. We had started asking him what he wanted to dress up like and he had decided on being a Ninja Turtle. I was searching for one everyone where, but couldn't find one small enough for him. Well last week we were at Walmart and he saw a sign for the Transformer Bumblebee costume. He yelled out "I NEED THAT!". We went over to look at it and check the price. He was amazed. So since it was much cheaper than the other costumes we had looked at, I went ahead and bought it for him. Well I should have figured that when we got home he'd have to put it on. And he did. Now lets just say this, we've had it 5 days and he has worn it everyday since putting it on. He's worn it SO much that there is already a hole in it. Now we've got to go get one for him to actually wear for Trick or Treating. Check my Bumble Bee out.
Apple Picking
Sunday after picking my mom up from the airport we headed onto Sky Top Orchards to do our annual apple picking. It was so much fun this year because Isaac was all into. We had a blast. And if you've never done it before it is a must!
Oh and here is a picture of Isaac when he was 1 and now at the same spot at almost 3.
