Eli's Bear or is Eli the bear?

We took Isaac today to the Build-a-Bear store and he built a bear for his little brother Eli. We were really afraid that he wouldn't understand that the bear was being made for him to give it away, but the whole way there and then while we were there we kept saying that you're making this for Eli. And then we'd ask him who the bear was for and he'd very quickly say Eli. So as some of you know you go in a pick out a bear to stuff. Well Isaac went through all the bears/animals and his first choice was a cute geen (green) monster. It was actually a dinosaur, but he kept saying a Eli a geen monster. After checking the price I decided to take him a few bears/animals down to the cheaper end. I was trying to stay in my budget. And I knew that Isaac would want to dress the stuffed creature and well money doesn't grow on a tree in our backyard so I had to set some limit. Any ways so I led him to a nice little cuddly bear and talked him into it and being a two year old, he was fine. We then walk it down to the "stuffing machine" and the worker asks Isaac what the bears name was going to be and Isaac yelled out "ELI!" and then they begin stuffing the bear and even putting the heart in. Isaac liked the heart so much that he wanted to put in 1,000 of them. We obviously didn't let him and very quickly took him to the bathing station to give the bear a bath. He was excited because in his mind he was giving "Eli" a bath. From there we picked him out a nice little surfer outfit, daddy's choosing, and then went to register the bear and get his birth certificate. Isaac was all into this part. I'm not sure if it was because he actually got to touch a computer or if he liked swiping the credit card thing they gave him (his father's child). Any ways we registered the bear and got the birth certificate and left the store. Now if you've not done it before they put the bear in this quite large box that looks like a house and you carry it around. Need I say this, but Isaac insisted on carrying the large box (literally it is almost as big as him). We let him since it was keeping his energetic self busy. Well as we're walking and shopping I'd hear Isaac talking to the box. He would sit it down and go look at something and come back and ask through the boxes little window..."Eli you still there...what you doing?" It was very cute and we're sure he knows that bear is for Eli...or does he? Or is his child like mind thinking that this bear is his much anticipated little brother? Oops... Not sure guess we will see next Thursday when Eli arrives and Isaac has to hand over the bear to baby Eli. Hummmmm.....maybe we should make another bear for Eli to give Isaac?

Strawberry Pickin'

Yesterday Barry took Isaac to pick strawberries for the very first time. After much whining Barry let me go as long as I wouldn't over do it. So I packed the camera and once we arrived I plopped my rear-end in the wagon and took pictures of my boys picking them strawberries. It was fun to watch Isaac. He would go thru and find the "big" ones and then the "baby" ones. I honestly think he was happier carrying his basket than anything else. Barry kept trying to get him to pick them off and then eat them, but Isaac just kept saying "oh gross daddy, gross, I don't like it." After about 20 minutes of picking they had our two baskets filled to the top. We loaded up the wagon and headed to the car to head home. Isaac wanted to stay and pick more, but I was like no way! I was already trying to figure out what I'd do with the two HUGE baskets we had. Any ways we got in the car and all Isaac cared about was his basket of "rawberries" and if they were still there. He then realized he could reach them and started grabbing them and eating them. Barry didn't understand why he would eat them now, but not at the field. He ended up stuffing himself full of them by the time we got home. There literally was a ring around his mouth of pink from the strawberry juice. Well anyways, enjoy the pictures. Oh and tonight we're all going to make homemade strawberry jam!!! We'll let you know how that turns out. Oh and one more for anyone who cares...only 15.5 more days until Eli James arrives.

Eli James...

"Each time I feel you moving, my heart is filled with joy, to think that very soon I'll hold YOU, my little boy... I love you!"

My Belly

Okay so this is for all of you who never get to see and have not gotten to enjoy my growing belly. A few of you I have shared that my belly is offically larger now than my belly was two weeks before I delivered Isaac. It's really crazy at the size and shape of it. So here are a few pictures that my friend Jennifer took of my belly for my baby shower. For one of them my dad literally looked at it and said, "are you growing a new planet in there?" Tell me what you think. And please don't be rude and laugh or make fun of me. Enjoy them! Oh and for anyone of you who cares I only have 1 month left to go, that is 4 weeks and 2 days, or 30 days if you're counting.
